Waste Management

“Plastic Credit Program: Waste Management for BFI Running Event 2023”

Running event is an event organized with the aim of gathering people who participate in running. Usually, running events are carried out in the form of competitions, such as marathons, half marathons, or races with shorter distances. Kertabumi itself focuses on waste management which refers to a series of actions taken to manage waste efficiently and responsibly. Which involves the collection, transport, processing, recycling and disposal of waste in a manner that is safe for the environment and human health. In this Running Event activity, Kertabumi plays an important role in reducing the waste generated by collecting used bottles used by participants during the event. Kertabumi developed a waste credit to incentivize producers to collect and manage post-consumer waste that would otherwise leak into nature. Waste credits apply to a range of materials, including glass, paper, card, and plastic.

This Running Event is organized by BFI Finance (BFI Run) which is a finance company in Indonesia as well as being the first finance company to list its shares on the Jakarta Stock Exchange and Surabaya Stock Exchange (now Indonesia Stock Exchange or IDX) headquartered in South Tangerang. This Project Running event was held to celebrate BFI Finance’s 41st birthday, located at ICE BSD Serpong, which is a national running competition with cool temperatures, flat and comfortable routes to get personal best achievements.
