Waste Management for Cleanup Event – BRI Peduli 2023

Cleanup is an effort or process to clean or remove dirt, rubbish or unwanted remains from an area or object in a particular location. Cleanup itself aims to encourage community participation in cleaning and caring for the environment and create a community that cares more about the environment, reduces pollution, and keeps the environment clean and healthy for future generations.

In this event, Kertabumi and other communities participated in activities to clean up rubbish in the environment, then the collected rubbish would be transported by the local Environmental Service and suitable rubbish would be taken to the Kertabumi Waste Bank for recycling.

This Cleanup activity was organized by Bank BRInamely an Indonesian state-owned company that provides various kinds of financial services andAs a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), BankBRI participate in implementing the Social Responsibility Program or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), especially through the implementation of the Community Development Program known asBRI Cares.

The activity with the theme “Yok Kita Gas – #GerakanAntiTrash” took place on Friday, September 29 2023 from 07.00-10.30 WIB located in Kampung Bali Kali Krukut, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta and was attended by several officers from government agencies, namely PPSU, UPK Water Agency Environmental Service, local communities and also the BRI community itself. Around 1,119kg of waste was collected during the cleanup activity.
