KATADATA GREEN COLLABS BLOK M

This event is part of the Katadata SAFE 2025: Green for Resilience series, and is connected with TEMAN KOTA by Katadata – a community movement to enliven Blok M, in line with the Jakarta Provincial Government’s mission to revitalize Blok M Hub and Taman Bendera Pusaka.

Wise waste management is crucial for this project, as many visitors attend the event. Therefore, we ensure that all waste generated is properly managed according to its type. Ikbal Alexander, an environmental influencer and waste management expert said that without proper waste management, these activities risk polluting the environment and increasing the burden on landfills.

This activity took place on Saturday, August 22, 2025, at Blok M Hub. There were two bottle waste stations. The activity lasted from11:00 AM to 09:00 PM Volunteers were responsible for educating visitors about waste sorting, collecting, transporting, and managing waste generated in the area. Three sacks of waste weighing 9 kg of bottles were collected during this event. All collected waste was then transported to the Kertabumi Recycling Center in South Tangerang for further sorting, weighing, and recycling.
