A Shared Commitment to a Better Environment
As part of their commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable development, Kertabumi and Radana Finance joined forces to carry out a mangrove planting initiative on Pramuka Island, one of the islands in the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu), Jakarta.
This initiative represents a tangible collaboration between the private sector and environmental organizations in addressing increasingly complex ecological challenges, particularly in Indonesia’s coastal regions.
Pramuka Island plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of marine and coastal ecosystems. However, like many other coastal areas, it faces significant environmental challenges, including coastal erosion, rising sea levels, and habitat degradation, all of which can impact local communities and biodiversity.

During the activity, representatives from Kertabumi and Radana Finance participated directly in planting mangrove seedlings in designated coastal areas. More than a symbolic gesture, this initiative forms part of a long-term effort to support ecosystem restoration and strengthen environmental resilience against climate change.
Participants also received educational sessions on the importance of mangroves, proper planting techniques, and the role communities play in ensuring the survival and growth of newly planted trees.
Through this hands-on experience, participants gained a deeper understanding of how individual actions can contribute to meaningful environmental impact.
This mangrove planting initiative reflects the belief that environmental stewardship is a shared responsibility. Kertabumi firmly believes that partnerships between environmental organizations, businesses, and communities are essential for creating lasting positive change.
Beyond the ecological benefits for Pramuka Island, the program also helped raise awareness about the importance of protecting coastal ecosystems for future generations.
