Family gathering is an event or meeting held by a company or organization to gather all employees and work team members together which also involves the families of each employee.
The purpose of a family gathering is to strengthen relations between employees, increase the spirit of cooperation, and create a more intimate and harmonious working atmosphere. These events provide an opportunity for employees to interact outside the formal work environment, get to know each other better, and build positive social relationships.
Family gatherings are usually filled with various recreational activities, games, eating together or even entertainment events. Some companies also include training activities or discussions about the company’s vision, mission and goals to increase employee understanding of the company’s direction.
Kertabumi itself focuses on waste management which refers to a series of actions taken to manage waste efficiently and responsibly. Which involves the collection, transport, processing, recycling and disposal of waste in a manner that is safe for the environment and human health.
In this Family Gathering activity, Kertabumi plays an important role in reducing the waste generated by collecting inorganic waste from used bottles, food boxes, plastic packaging, straws to organic waste from leftover food during the event.
This time the Family Gathering event was organized by Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), which is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas (upstream oil and gas). PT Pertamina (Persero) itself is an Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company that is responsible for activities in the upstream (exploration and production) and downstream (processing and distribution) sectors.
This event took place on Sunday, 06 August 2023 from 06.00 – 15.00 WIB located at Senayan Park, Central Jakarta and was attended by 3500 invited guests from Pertamina Hulu Energi. Approximately more than 350 kg of Inorganic & Organic waste was collected by Kertabumi during the event.
