<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>South Tangerang, January 8, 2026 &#8211; </strong>As a form of commitment to environmental sustainability and community empowerment, <strong>Cermati Fintech Group </strong>implement the program <em>Corporate Social Responsibility </em>(CSR) focused on waste reduction and utilization, Thursday (January 8, 2026). Through collaboration with waste banks <strong>Kertabumi </strong>This CSR program is a concrete step for the company in realizing the principles of a circular economy.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through an ecosystem of entities that includes <strong>Cermati, Cermati Protect, Cermati Invest, Indodana Finance,</strong> And <strong>Fintech Son</strong>, <strong>Cermati Fintech Group </strong>contributed to the procurement of an inorganic waste processing machine at the Kertabumi Recycling Center in South Tangerang. The recycling machine can recycle 20 tons per month, equivalent to approximately 240 tons of waste annually. The machine&#8217;s lifespan is expected to be up to 15 years. Therefore, in 15 years, Cermati Fintech Group could contribute to recycling 3,600 tons of waste with Kertabumi.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In addition to engine support, <strong>Cermati Fintech Group </strong>also focuses on managing inorganic waste from various operational materials ranging from paper, cloth, to plastic &amp; <em>impraboard. </em>This program initiative has successfully collected up to 660 kilograms of combined waste which will be reprocessed through the skilled hands of Kertabumi colleagues, local residents who are members of Karang Taruna and PKK into handicraft products that have economic value.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Furthermore, these handicrafts will be marketed in galleries and also through Kertabumi social media. <strong>Cermati Fintech Group </strong>really appreciate the commitment <strong>Kertabumi </strong>that every rupiah generated from sales will be reinvested to support the operations and welfare of residents, ensuring that the wheels of this circular economy continue to move and provide sustainable benefits.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This waste management program is a concrete step that demonstrates that the company&#8217;s grand vision is not limited to digital financial solutions but also includes active contributions to the sustainability ecosystem in Indonesia.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Pada <strong>Selasa, 2 Desember 2025</strong>, Merries bersama Kertabumi resmi meluncurkan inovasi terbaru: <strong>Bahan Bakar Merries</strong>, hasil olahan sampah popok bekas melalui teknologi <strong>mesin pirolisis</strong>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-17935" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01770-4-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Dari Popok Bekas Menjadi Energi</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-17936" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01947-2-1-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Workshop Bersama para Ibu &amp; Komunitas</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-17934" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/SAM01992-3-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Ajak Moms Ikut Berpartisipasi!</strong></h3>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Yuk, pantau terus Instagram @Merries dan @Kertabumi untuk mengetahui update terbaru program Senyumkan Lingkungan!</strong> <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f331.png" alt="🌱" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;The DEB program is designed to promote Pertamina&#8217;s efforts in energy conservation through the adoption of renewable energy that can encourage community economic empowerment while maintaining climate resilience,&#8221; said Pretty during a talk show session entitled &#8220;From Indonesia to Brazil: How Non-Party Stakeholders Drive Stronger Climate Action.&#8221;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Pretty explained that the DEB program encompasses three main pillars. First, Modern Coastal Villages in 42 villages focus on utilizing technology to increase fishermen&#8217;s productivity. Second, Energy Tourism Villages in 54 villages combine renewable energy with local tourism development. Third, Sustainable Food Villages in 156 villages contribute to increasing agricultural production. To date, a total of 252 villages in Indonesia have implemented the DEB program.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In addition to the talk show, Pertamina and Kertabumi planted 100 native Amazonian trees at the Mangal das Garcas Zoobotanical Park, along with Instituto Asflora and the Belem city government. Kertabumi founder and environmental activist Ikbal Alexander explained that the planting was a symbolic step to support nature-based solutions, as the Amazon rainforest is the world&#8217;s largest tropical rainforest and home to diverse Amazonian biodiversity.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Pertamina and Kertabumi teams visited the Amazon biodiversity conservation area in the park and observed endemic species such as flamingos, macaws, and toucans. Researchers from the Instituto Asflora explained that the 100 trees in the park will be cared for and monitored to ensure their success and help prevent erosion along the Amazon Riverbanks.</p>

</div>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ikbal also emphasized the importance of this multi-stakeholder collaboration because climate change solutions require a collaborative effort between the government, the private sector, communities, and the public. Climate change is a global problem, but many solutions have already been implemented in Indonesia, and we need to support these solutions so they can have a greater impact.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the COP30 series of activities, Pertamina and Kertabumi held numerous discussions and shared information with stakeholders, particularly regarding the energy transition, waste management, and climate change mitigation efforts. This multi-stakeholder interaction is expected to provide a new paradigm for future DEB development and community-based climate action worldwide.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Wise waste management is crucial for this project, as many visitors attend the event. Therefore, we ensure that all waste generated is properly managed according to its type. Ikbal Alexander, an environmental influencer and waste management expert said that without proper waste management, these activities risk polluting the environment and increasing the burden on landfills.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This activity took place on Saturday, August 22, 2025, at Blok M Hub. There were two bottle waste stations. The activity lasted from<strong>11:00 AM to 09:00 PM </strong>Volunteers were responsible for <strong>educating visitors about waste sorting</strong>, <strong>collecting</strong>, <strong>transporting</strong>, and <strong>managing waste </strong>generated in the area. Three sacks of waste weighing 9 kg of bottles were collected during this event. All collected waste was then transported to the Kertabumi Recycling Center in South Tangerang for further sorting, weighing, and recycling.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day is a historic and meaningful moment for all Indonesians. This commemoration is not only a time to reflect on the struggles of the heroes who fought for independence but also an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of nationalism, unity, and care for the surrounding environment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The <strong>“Bersih Merdeka HUT RI 80”</strong> program was conducted in 10 strategic locations across the Monas and Sudirman areas, in collaboration with <strong>Bumitori</strong> and the <strong>Ministry of Creative Economy</strong>, involving 50 volunteers who carried out a cleanup campaign along key public roads and spaces.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-16906" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/DSC04804-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ikbal Alexander as the founder or Kertabumi and an environmental influencer said that it is a common reality that large-scale events—especially those with massive public participation—inevitably generate a significant amount of waste. The celebration of Independence Day, typically filled with competitions, parades, bazaars, and various public events, is no exception. Without proper waste management, these activities risk polluting the environment and increasing the burden on landfills.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This activity took place on <strong>August 17, 2025</strong>, in line with the celebration of the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The activity lasted from <strong>10:00 AM to 10:00 PM </strong>Volunteers were responsible for <strong>educating visitors about waste sorting</strong>, <strong>collecting</strong>, <strong>transporting</strong>, and <strong>managing waste</strong> generated in the area.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Waste Collection Points (10 Locations):</strong></p>

<li>Sari Pacific Hotel</li>

<li>Sarinah Thamrin</li>

<li>Chillax Sudirman</li>

<li>WTC</li>

<li>Lippo Mall Nusantara</li>
</ol>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The total amount of organic and inorganic waste collected during the Indonesian Independence Day celebration event nearly reached 70 tons, and the total amount of inorganic waste collected was 16 trash bags, equivalent to 61.2 kg, gathered from 10 locations. This amount corresponds to an emissions reduction of 304.29 KgCO₂e.<br>All the collected waste was then transported to the Kertabumi Recycling Center in South Tangerang for further sorting, weighing, and recycling.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Plastic waste is becoming an increasingly urgent environmental issue around the world, including in Indonesia. The growing volume of plastic waste, combined with low recycling rates, has made plastic waste a serious threat to ecosystems, especially in water bodies and soil. To tackle this challenge, collaborative and educational efforts are needed that target all layers of society, including children.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Program</strong> is an approach aimed at reducing the environmental impact of products produced by manufacturers, in accordance with the mandate of <strong>Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry (Permen LHK) No. 75 of 2019</strong>. <strong>PT Mondelez Indonesia</strong> is collaborating with <strong>Kertabumi</strong> to collect waste through the establishment of <strong>Waste Banks in schools</strong>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>#BijakPlastikSejakDini</strong> is an initiative by Mondelez Indonesia focused on raising environmental awareness and inspiring children to manage plastic waste wisely from a young age.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The #BijakPlastikSejakDini program has entered its <strong>4th year</strong>, and in <strong>2024 it runs from July 2024 to June 2025</strong>, involving <strong>12 elementary schools</strong>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As a form of commitment to environmental preservation and community empowerment, <strong>Djarum Foundation</strong> conduct educational visits to <strong>Kertabumi</strong> asintegrated waste management center that focuses on sustainable recycling practices.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This visit is one of the Djarum Foundation&#8217;s concrete efforts to raise awareness of the importance of wise plastic waste management while also honing creativity through recycling activities.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-15962" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08259-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Participants were taken on a tour of the Kertabumi area to observe firsthand the plastic waste processing process, from sorting by type, cleaning, and recycling to prevent plastic waste from polluting the environment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In this educational session, participants were also provided with knowledge about the challenges of plastic waste management in Indonesia and the opportunities to utilize waste into useful items.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The most interesting part of this visit was <strong>practical workshop on making beaded bracelets</strong> from plastic waste. The collected plastic waste is processed into small flakes, melted, and then molded into colorful beads. These beads are then strung together by participants to create beautiful bracelets.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-15965" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08428-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The workshop atmosphere was warm and enthusiastic. Participants shared creative ideas while stringing beads into unique and attractive bracelets.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>&#8220;I just learned that plastic waste can be processed into beautiful beads like these. This activity has opened my eyes to managing waste more wisely.&#8221;</strong>said one of the participants.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through this program, the Djarum Foundation aims to raise awareness among participants that plastic waste has economic potential if managed properly. This type of education is expected to motivate participants to become agents of change, apply the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle, and inspire those around them.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-15964" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/DSC08353-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kertabumi representatives also expressed their hope that visits and workshops like this could continue, reaching a wider audience, and expanding their positive impact on the environment.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through a visit to Kertabumi, the Djarum Foundation demonstrated that a commitment to environmental sustainability can start with small steps. Turning plastic waste into beaded bracelets is not only a matter of creativity, but also a symbol of shared care and responsibility for preserving the earth.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Let&#8217;s start sorting our waste, recycling it, and creating valuable works. Because a sustainable earth starts with us.</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In its commitment to continue learning and being actively involved in sustainability issues,<strong> Levi&#8217;s Indonesia</strong> make a direct visit to <strong>Kertabumi Recycling Center</strong>. This activity is not just an observation, but also part of the direct learning process about <strong>plastic waste management</strong>, <strong>urban farming</strong>, as well as <strong>environmentally friendly organic soap production</strong>.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Participants were invited to see firsthand how Kertabumi processes inorganic plastic waste into functional products such as furniture, coasters, and repackaging. This recycling process shows that waste is not the end of the cycle, but the beginning of new potential when managed properly.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-15028" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05691-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Levi&#8217;s Indonesia also attended the session<strong>urban farming</strong>as a solution for food security and greening in limited spaces. Starting from vertical planting techniques, hydroponics, to the use of organic waste for compost, participants gain direct experience in applying these methods in the work environment and at home. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-15030" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05615-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Don&#8217;t miss a session <strong>organic soap making</strong>become an inspiring highlight. Using natural ingredients and kitchen waste such as used cooking oil, participants are invited to understand that daily products can be made more environmentally friendly and do not pollute water when used.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-15031" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/DSC05648-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This visit is a shared reflection that<strong>Sustainable practices don&#8217;t have to be complicated or expensive</strong>, but can be started from education, involvement, and changes in daily lifestyle. Levi’s Indonesia expressed its appreciation for the knowledge and experience gained from Kertabumi, and is committed to continuing to integrate green values into their work and business culture. <strong>Visits like this demonstrate the importance of cross-sector collaboration in protecting the earth.</strong>From global fashion brands to local communities, everyone has a role to play in creating a more sustainable future.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kertabumi Recycling Center received a visit from Cikal School students. This visit is part of an environmental education program which aims to introduce students to the importance of responsible waste management, from sorting to recycling, both organic and inorganic waste.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1300" height="731" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-14439" srcset="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-1300x731.jpg 1300w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-400x225.jpg 400w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-860x484.jpg 860w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-430x242.jpg 430w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-700x394.jpg 700w, https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06077-1-150x84.jpg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 1300px) 100vw, 1300px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the activity, students were invited to see firsthand the waste management process at the Kertabumi Recycling Center. They learn how inorganic waste such as plastic, paper and bottles can be reprocessed into products that are useful and have economic value, such as recycled bags, plaques and furniture. On the other hand, students are also introduced to the process of processing organic waste through making compost, biopori and eco enzyme.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Not only learning in theory, the students also follow along <em>workshop</em> interactive to try recycling directly. They looked enthusiastic when making products from recycled materials and witnessed the results of environmentally friendly processing of organic waste.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" src="https://kertabumi.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/DSC06068-1-2-1300x731.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-14442"/></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is hoped that this activity can raise awareness from an early age about the importance of protecting the environment through wise waste management. Apart from that, this visit is a valuable momentum to instill the value of responsibility towards the earth through concrete actions.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Thank you Cikal School for visiting the Kertabumi Recycling Center. May this small step be the beginning of a big change towards a greener future!</p>
