This activity was organized by PT Godrej Consumer Products Indonesia, which is a household and personal care company serving 16 million households in Indonesia. PT Godrej Consumer Products Indonesia is a company originating from India called Godrej which has been established since 1897.

The Waste Bank and UMKM Recycling Development Program activities were carried out in RW 13 Kp. Parung Tanjung, Cicadas Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency. This program is implemented as a form of corporate responsibility towards the environment. This program starts in February 2023 until February 2024. The total waste that was saved at the Waste Bank in this activity was 2,262.2 kg.

This program is also part of the KAO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which is a very positive step in supporting the environment and local communities. This project lasts for 3 months, from 9 November 2023 to 29 Februari 2024. The ultimate goal of establishinmg this Waste Bank is enhance plastic circularity,  promote integrated waste management, increase the participation of tof the community, government and the private sectors as part of KAO’s extended producer responsibilities (EPR). With proper training and social business model, waste banks can become an important component in efforts to overcome the waste problem and achieve more sustainable development goals .
